The couple plans to be married on Saturday, June 2, 2007 in the Mt. Timpariogas IDS Temple. A reception will be held that evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mapleton City Hall, 125 West Community Center Way, Mapleton. Jillian graduated from Springville High School and is studying music at Utah Valley Val-ley State College after transferring from Utah State University. : Kelley also graduated from SHS and Megan Walker, Spencer Nelson marry in temple - Mark and Leslie Walker of Springville, Utah, are happy to announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Megan, to Spencer Spen-cer Nelson of Pocatello, Idaho, son of Len and Ellen Nelson. The couple was married in the Logan LDS Temple on Saturday, May 26, 2007. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines. The couple will make their home in Orem. KayCee Carpenter, Cliff Asay to trade vows June 2 Ashton Thomas is pleased to announce the engagement of his mother, KayCee Carpenter, to Cliff Asay. KayCee is the daughter of Sam and Trina Carpenter of Kanab, Utah, and Cliff is the son of Greg and Christine Asay of Springville. The couple will be married on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Holdaways to celebrate 90 years! --A v --' Megan and Spencer Nelson Peteetneet 5th Annual Quilt Show in Payson It is time to get your articles ar-ticles ready for the 5th Annual An-nual Quilt Show at the Peteetneet Pe-teetneet in Payson. The show will be Monday, Mon-day, June 25, through July 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. On Saturday, June 30, there will be different demonstrations dem-onstrations every hour. They will include: Perfect Paper Piecing, Crazy Four Patch, Bias Binding, Jean Bags, and Charm Pack Quilts. There will also be dis plays by local quilt stores. The featured artist will be Shirley Stevenson, who is a long time quilter and won "Best of Show" last year. The event is free. As in the past, they will have handiwork displayed in the auditorium and art gallery. They are asking for entries in the following categories: hand quilted, machine quilted, antique, baby quilts, wall hangings, framed handiwork, af-ghans af-ghans and pillows. Articles to be displayed should be entered on June 21 and 22 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the art gallery at the Peteetneet. Pe-teetneet. There is a $5 entry en-try fee. The entries will not, be juried or judged, but they do have a "People's Choice" award, which will be chosen by all who visit the show. They also give a "Best of Show" award to the most outstanding entry. en-try. For more information Reed A. and Margaret Holdaway of Springville will celebrate their ninetieth birthdays with their family on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at their cabin at Wildwood Resort in Provo Canyon. Margaret was born June 2, 1917 in Lake View and five days later Reed made his appearance in Vineyard, Vine-yard, just up the road. For the past 64 years they have enjoyed living and raising their family in Springville where they can be seen most days walking their mile at the Springville High School track. He also did advertising for the BYU Motion Picture Studio and other small businesses. : He retired from Keystone Key-stone Learning Systems in 2003 and made a beeline to the Springville Museum of Art to fulfill his heart's desire de-sire to be involved there. Kowallis and his wife, Judy, have three children and three grandchildren and currently live in Orem. He enjoys working with wood and investigates all types of architecture. He also does line drawing and works in black and white. Kowallis favors the dramatic dra-matic feelings expressed in the Russian Art pieces at the museum. While there he has really appreciated the dedication and support that comes from the museum muse-um director and each staff member. He encourages all volunteers to be outgoing outgo-ing and helpful in their assignments. as-signments.
