Show Ice Breaker-Opening Social announced for Men's Golf Assoc. The Hobble Creek Men's Golf Association announces it's annual Ice Breaker Tournament Saturday, Satur-day, April 6. The opening social ;will be held March 29 at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse restaurant. Anyone interested in joining the glen's Golf Association is invited Jo attend the opening social. First aid, CPR Certified classes in first aid and CPR-featuring the American Red Cross standards-are being offered by the Education Department Depart-ment at IHC Hospitals in Utah County. Participants can earn certification in both first aid and CPR. Register and pay for the eight-hour course through the Education Department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Goates Lady Devils softball By Virginia Nelson The Lady Red Devil Softball Team began pre-season play last week against Clearfield and Roy, winning both 6-1 over .Clearfield and a close 6-5 tie-breaker over Roy. Their next four games were cancelled due to the weather, but they are scheduled to play this Friday. When the Roy game ended with a 5-5 score, the International Tie-breaker was put in place. Each team places a player on second base, and the team to cross home plate the most during their turn wins. Roy scored only once during their turn. Springville's Lori Bunce stole home to tie the score. Then Tiffany weight hit a tipple with Abby Hjorth on base, and Abby was able to score.
