Cindy Frazier and David Gene Hirschi Baze-Johnson to marry on Saturday Janice Baze of Springville and Charles Baze of Texas announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Teresa Ann, to Mr. Warren R. Johnson,' son of ilia Johnson and the late Max Johnson of Springville. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, June 18 at the Springville Community Presbyterian Church. The Reverend George Lower will officiate the ceremony. A reception will be held that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. also at the church. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Springville High School. Attending the bride as maid of honor will be Brenda Gurule. Jean Hunter and Mary Baze will serve as bridesmaids, and Jamie Johnson will attend as flower girl. Joe Wheeler will attend the groom as best man. Ushers will be Dave Johnson and Clark Johnson. Prenuptial showers were given by Mary Baze and Brenda Gurule. The couple will make their home in Provo. i Frazier to wed Hirschi on Friday Cindy Frazier, daughter of Robert L. and Lucile Frazier of Springville, will marry David Gene Hirschi, son of Gene and Greta Hirschi of Garland, on Friday, June 17 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A wedding luncheon lun-cheon will be hosted by the groom's parents following the wedding. A reception will honor the couple the same evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the first and twelfth ward church, 840 S. 400 E., Springville. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to attend. Bridal attendants will be Julie Carter and Sarah Taylor, with Stacy Frazier as flower girl. Bestmen will be John Gilbert and Lynn Hirschi. Karl and Danny Frazier will usher. Special guests will be grandparents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Frazier and Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Bryan of Springville and Mrs. Edith Hirschi of Tremonton. The bride is a graduate of Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She was a member of the Drill Team and served on the Seminary Council. She has been attending Utah State University majoring in special education. The bridegroom is a graduate of Dixie High School and LDS Seminary. He attended Dixie College and Utah Technical College. He served an LDS mission in Oslo, Norway. He is now employed in Tremonton. The couple plan to live in Tremonton and continue their education at Utah State University in the Fall. Johnson and Teresa Ann Baze Springville High School Women's Alumni from Principals' Ray Done, E. E. Knudsen, and W. W. Brock-bank Brock-bank years met for their annual reunion Saturday, June 4, at the Springville Middle School. Over 120 alumni attended the gathering. Friends and classmates coming from Utah, Nevada, California, Washington and Canada to visit with each other and remember high school days. The reunion's activities began with singing the school song directed by Naomi P. McKenzie, Louise P. Jensen and Catherine M. Clement. Prayer was offered by Veryl D. Thompson. Following a luncheon door prizes were distributed with Jennie Johnson Harding of Tabor, Alberta, Canada winning special recognition for having traveled the longest distance to attend. Honored guests included Mrs. E. E. Knudsen, Mrs. W. T. Tew, Jr., Mrs. W. W. Brockbank, Mrs. Mary H. Fillmore, Mrs. Margaret H. Jones, Mrs. Marie B. Lewis, and Mrs. Stella F. Burt. The theme was "A Day to Remember" and the following quote was used: "In memory of our many teachers who loved and taught us about life and learning and set -an example of dedication and service which we remember today and keep in our hearts as guidelines for excellence." ex-cellence." Ina S. Bird read an original poem about life at Springville High School. Phyllis S. Olsen provided a violin solo, "I'll See You Again," accompanied ac-companied by Gayla Clark. A slide presentation dedicated to Mae B. Huntington, who taught most of those in attendance, was shown and narrated by Yvonne B. Johnson. Mrs. Huntington's daughter, Mary H. Fillmore of Tooele, responded. Shirley L. Smith concluded the program by singing "Memories" accompanied by Mrs. Johnson. Photos were taken of the group. Mary W. Sanford, chairman of the 1983 committee extends sincere thanks to all who helped to make the reunion the largest and one of the most successful to date. Assisting her were Margaret C. King, Evelyn P. Mrs. Tew was accompanied by her three daughters Merlene T. Colarusso, Orem, Naomi T. Rowan, Salt Lake, and Helen T. Stirland, Mapleton. Other sister groups with three attending included Evelyn P. J Forbes-Salisbury Jamet William Salisbury and Janii Forbei nuptials tomorrow . I Janis Forbes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen R. Forbes of American Fork, will marry James William Salisbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Salisbury of Springville on Friday June 17 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in the American Fork 12th Ward Chapel, 673 E. 300 N. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Attending the bride will be Connie Davis, Barbara Forbes, Cindy Chesnut and Megan Forbes. Best men will be Rick Salisbury and Bruce Forbes. The bride elect is a graduate of LDS seminary and American Fork High School where she participated on the business team and flag and rifle corps. She attended Utah Technical College in Orem and is now employed at Wasatch Bank in Pleasant Grove. Her finance is a graduate of LDS Seminary and Springville High School where he was on the baseball team. He also played a year of baseball at BYU before serving an LDS mission in the Louisiana, Baton Rouge Mission. He is presently employed in Provo. The couple will live in Orem. Springville Firemen Ladies Auxilliary made and gave away two baby quilts on Saturday, June 11. The winners were Ruby Thompson of Orem and Diane Whitney of Springville. The money raised from the quilts will be used for a civic project. Christiansen will be honored on the occasion of his 80th birthday with an open house to be held at the home of his daughter, Joy C. Gledhill, Terrace Ave., Springville, on Saturday, June 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Merrill was born in Ephraim on July 18, 1903. He was the seventh child of nine children. On August 9, 1927 he married the former Dolres H. Heusser of Weston, Idaho, and they were the parents of three children: Joy C. Gledhill of Springville, Mac Allen Christiansen of Chesterfield. Mo. and Richard K. Christiansen of LaVerne, Calif. Mr. Christiansen served for 25 years as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense of the Army in the Office of Data Systems. In 1964 he retired and moved to Springville. Merrill has been very active in the LDS Church. He served two bishoprics in Ogden, as well as performing the duties of stake high priest, quorum president, ward finance clerk and stake era director. Shortly after retirement, he and his to assist the presidency of the Provo Temple in training and scheduling newly called ordinance workers. He and his wife served six years in the Provo Temple, Merrill serving two years as day supervisor and four years as a sealer. Merrill's hobbies include traveling and playing guitar for many gatherings and throughout the state.
