Paul Frandsen services set at mortuary Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary for George Paul Frandsen, 72, who died at his home June 30, 1968 after a long illness. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the services. Full military mili-tary rites will be accorded Mr. Frandsen at the city cemetery. Mr. Frandsen was born May 17, 1896 at Moroni, Utah, the son of John C. and Alice Win-dous Win-dous Frandsen. He was educated educat-ed in the Moroni schools. He married Marjorie McArthur on August 4, 1922 in Salt Lake City. They have resided in Springville for many years, where Mr. Frandsen worked as a mechanic and was employed at different times with businesses busines-ses here and in Spanish Fork. He was retired from his position po-sition held in the Springville Post Office in 1964. He was a charter member of the Springville Lion's club, the American Legion Post 28 and served as a commander of this post. He served many years as a volunteer fireman for the Springville Fire Department and was affiliated with the State fireman's department. He played in the old Springville Band. He was a member of the LDS church. A veteran of World War I, he served in the United States Coast Guard. Survivors besides his wife include in-clude on son, Lt. Col. Don Paul Frandsen of Ft. Rucker, Alabama; Ala-bama; two grandchildren and two brothers and three sisters; sis-ters; Lee of Grantsville; Victor, Springville; Mrs. B. J. (Lula) Lieehty, Springville; Mrs. Allen Al-len (Katie) Renold, Beaver; Mrs. Ed (Florence) Nelsen, Salt Lake City. |
