Show Plane crash victim is grandson of local couple; services set Services will be held in American Am-erican Fork's Anderson Mortuary Mortu-ary Wednesday at 5 p.m. for Richard B. Murdock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Murdock of this citywho was killed Friday night 30 miles north of Las Vegas Ve-gas in a light air plane crash. Burial will be in American Fork. Three other victims were kil- led in the crash as the plane was returning from Salt Lake City. Others in the crash who were killed include Joseph Harold Har-old Brinley, 69, cousin of Carrel Waters, Springville; Richard Taylor, 55, both of Henderson, Nev., Dr. James L. Fullmer, pilot pi-lot and Mr. Murdock of Las Vegas. The aircraft sheared the tops off two passenger cars on the highway 15 about 30miles north of Las Vegas when their plane attempted an emergency landing land-ing after it caught fire in mid air. Richard, born March 25, 1928 in Chicago, was active in the LDS church, having served as a member of the bishopric and high council while living in New Jersey, filled a mission to the Spanish Mission following his marriage to Jewel Chipman of American Fork in November 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in California, New Jersey and presently were residing resid-ing in Las Vegas, Nevada where lie was employed by the FBI. He was a 1952 graduate of the University of Utah and previously pre-viously served in the Third Ma-; rine Division from 1946 to 1948. Survivors besides his wife include in-clude six sons and daughters: Debra, Benjamin, Miriam, Nathaniel, Na-thaniel, Rachel and Mathew; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, Springville; 3 brothers and a sister: Ted Robert, Ro-bert, both of Salt Lake City; Kent of Springville and Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Dolinar of American Fork. |
