Show Ernest. Banner, for whom services ser-vices will be held on Wednesday Wednes-day in the Fourth LDS Ward. Wednesday rites planned for Ernest Banner Ernest Banner, 65, will be paid final respects at funeral services Wednesday (July 3) at 2 p.m. in the Fourth Ward directed by Bishop John Patrick. Pat-rick. Mr. Banner died at Pay-son Pay-son June 30, 1968, of a heart condition. Friends may call at the Wheeler Whe-eler Mortuary Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday Wednes-day prior to the services. Burial Bur-ial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. He was born August 21, 1902 at Castle Gate, Utah, the son of William G. and Laura Dur-fey. Dur-fey. He was educated in Springville Spr-ingville schools. He married Cornia Janette Nelson January 9, 1923, in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1931. He was employed with the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Rail-road and had worked there for 46 years and was a foreman of maintenance and way division retiring from this position last year. JJe was a former president presi-dent of Maintenance and Way Lodge 1463, Provo. Active in the LDS church, he was a High Priest in the 4th Ward, and was a home teacher. He assisted in directing basketball basket-ball activities during his life in the ward. He is survived by his wife and three daughters: Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald (Melba) Edmonds, Washington; Wash-ington; Mrs. Norman (Peggy) Larsen, Price; Ernadean Banner, Ban-ner, Portland, Oregon; two grandchildren; three brothers and a sister: Arthur, Spanish Fork; Arch, Springville; Earl, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Laura Nielson, Springville. A half sister, Mrs. Nellie Thomas, Orem. |
