Show Funeral services set Friday for T. L Snelson Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., in the Third-Ninth Third-Ninth Ward Chapel, for Thomas Thom-as Lennial Snelson, 81, who died July 25, 1967, at Payson Hospital of ailments incident to age. He had been at the hospital hospit-al only a short time. Friends may call at Wheeler Mortuary this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday before the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Snelson was born in Springville, January 26, 1886, a son of Thomas and Laurette n. . i.; rwuuuy oucisuil. nc bpcill. ills early life in this city attending schools here and worked on early railroad construction in Utah, Colorado, Nevada and Idaho. Later, he was a hoisting engineer in the Colorado mine in Tintic District. For 32 years, he was motorman on the Salt Lake and Utah Railroad, working work-ing until the railroad was discontinued. dis-continued. Services Friday for Mr. Snelson (Continued from Page One) He moved to Spring-ville from Payson about four years ago and made his home at 80 West 100 No. He had been active in the Springville Senior Citizens organization. He married Chloe Tolley in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, October Oc-tober 1906. She died eight years later and on Sept. 14, 1916, he married Margaret Jane Taylor, Tay-lor, in the Salt Lake Temple. They celebrated their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary in September last year. Surviving are his wife of Springville; three daughters and a son: Mrs. J. S. (Nelda) Reese of Alington, Va.; Mrs. Blaine (Melba) Wheeler, of Springville; Mrs. Rodney (Ruby) (Ru-by) Felt, Kaysville and Wilbur L. (Bish) Snelson of Spring-ville; Spring-ville; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters sis-ters and a brother, Mrs. Garnet (LaPreal) Friel and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin (Myrle) Johnson of Springville; Spring-ville; Marie W. Snelson of He-ber He-ber City. |
