Funeral services Saturday for Deiphia Hardy Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., in Kolob Stake House, for Mrs. Ella Delphia Del-phia Morley Hardy, 71, wife of John H. Hardy, 290 E. 4th So., who died Wednesday, July 6, 1966, at an Orem rest home, following a long illness. Bishop Harold Bartlett of the Eleventh Ward, will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday before be-fore the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Hardy was born in Moroni, Mor-oni, May 4, 1895, a daughter of Isaac and Martha Ellen Chris-tensen Chris-tensen Morley III. She spent her early life in Moroni and was married to Mr. Hardy October Oc-tober 11, 1916, at Moroni. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Active in LDS Church work throughout her adult life, she served 36 years in the Primary organization and received a special citation for this record. She was also a teacher in Junior Jun-ior Sunday School 20 years. She was a visiting teacher in Relief Society approximately 40 years and also worked on the program and work committees of the organization. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving besides her husband, hus-band, are four sons and daughters, daugh-ters, John Kay Hardy, Midvale-Dale Midvale-Dale Hardy, Springville; Mrs., Richard E. (Joyce) Johnson,. Murray; Mrs. Robert B. (Ruth)' Flygare of Holliday; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (May) Hardy of Moroni; Mrs. Minnie Oldroyd of Fountain Green; Mrs. Ina Christensen of Salt Lake City. |
