Show Funeral rites Thursday fr Lena M. Benson Mrs. Lena Ann Mickelson Benson, 84, who has made her home with a daughter and son-in-law, Mr .and Mrs. Frank Patten, 980 East Fourth So., for the past nine years, died Tuesday Dec. 21, 1965, at Utah Valley Hospital of ailments incident in-cident to age. She was born March 14, 1881 in Parowan, to Neils and Hannah Taylor Michelson and spent much of her life in that area. She was married to Alvin Richard Benson, March 31, 1908 at Parowan. Mr. Benson died in 1937. Mrs. Benson had taken an active part in church work throughout her life serving as an officer in Primary and teaching in Relief Society, MIA and Sunday School. Surviving besides her daughter daugh-ter Mrs. Frank (Hildrith) Patten, Pat-ten, are two sons, Grant Benson Ben-son of Tooele and Blaine Benson Ben-son of Kingman, Ariz.,; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Maude Michelson, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m., in the Parowan Third Ward. Friends may call at the family home in Parowan Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm., and Thursday before be-fore the services. Burial will be at Parowan under direction of Wheeler Mortuary. |
