Show Funeral services conducted for E. J. Curtis, 81 Edward J. Curtis, 81, of this city, died Wednesday night, Nov. 24, 1965, in an Orem rest home, of ailments incident to age. He was born May 8, 1884, in Berlin, Wis., a son of Elizur Evans and Florence May Bush Curtis. He married Mabel Frances Nelson, Feb. 12, 1912, in Springville. Mr. Curtis was a graduate of St. John's Military Mili-tary Academy in Wisconsin. He came to Utah as a young man and settled in Hiawatha, Carbon Car-bon County. He worked in the coal mines of Carbon County, 27 years retiring in 1930. He had made his home in Provo and Springville since that time. He was a member of the Price Elks Lodge. Surviving are two sons and a daughter: Jack J. and Don E. Curtis and Mrs. Mary Stewart Stew-art all of Springville; 16 grandchildren grand-children and three great grandchildren. grand-children. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Wheeler Mortuary Mor-tuary Chapel. Burial was in Springville City Cemetery. |
