Show Services held Monday for Theo G. Phillips Theo G. Phillips, 59, 147 No. First East, was found dead Friday morning, November 26, 1965, at his home of natural but unknown causes. Funeral services were held Monday at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, with Bishop Melvin T. Haymond of the Ninth Ward officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. He was born Dec. 21, 1905 in Springville, a son of Gomer and Maria Elizabeth Leah Phillips. Phil-lips. He married Marion Sta-ley, Sta-ley, on June 26, 1929 in Ely, Nev. They were later divorced. Mr. Phillips attended Springville Spring-ville schools and graduated from Springville High School in 1925. He was a shop foreman for the G. Lowery Anderson Ford agency in Springville for a number of years and worked as a mechanic for the W. W. Clyde Co. and had owned and operated the Theo Phillips Body Shop for the past several years. He was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Shirley) de Jong, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: William J. and Earl S. Phillips, Springville; Thomas Phillips, Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Marvin (Ruth) Lambson, and Mrs. Wells (Al-ta) (Al-ta) Robertson, both Salt Lake City. |
