Show MATRON DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS Mrs. Violetta B. Palfreyman, 69, wife of Dennis Palfreyman, died Monday morning at the family residence, following a long illness. She was born in Springville, September Sep-tember 26, 1872, a daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Averett Blackett. She has lived here most of her life and during her earlier years was an active member of the Relief society. She was married in June, 1890, in Provo, and the couple later received re-ceived their endowments in the Salt Lake temple. Surviving besides her husband are nine sons and daughters: Blake D. Palfreyman and Mrs. Fred Lid-diard Lid-diard of Provo; Jess Palfreyman and Mrs. Fern Cornwell of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Myrle Davis, Mrs. Delia Clark, Mrs. Faye Hancock, Bert and Gene Palfreyman of Springville; also a step-daughter, j Mrs. Lou Maycock, of Salt Lake City; a step-son, 'Will (Palfrey-1 man, of Springville; 30 grandchildren grandchild-ren and nine great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Mrs. Flora McPherson, Mrs. Nellie Diamond, Dia-mond, Harvey and Deal Blackett, of Springville; Frank Blackett of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Fourth ward chapel and burial was in the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery, directed by A. Y. Wheeler and Son mortuary. |
