Show S. F.MAN DIES IN CAR CRASH Losing control of his automobile I when he apparently fell asleep at 1 the wheel. David M. Close, 24, of Spanish Fork, was killed at an ar!v hour Sunday morning. The iccident occurred on the state highway high-way one mile north of Santaquin Close received a broken neck and fractured jaw when the car turned completely over. Tracks of the car showed that the machine had been traveling for more than 100 yards with two wheels off the pavement before it overturned. Dave Lindstiom and Pete Hillas of Santaquin found Close pinned underneath the car, in a dying con-. con-. dition. They notified the officers. I An investigation was made by ; Sheriff E. G. Durnell, Deputy Sher-i Sher-i iff Joseph Gourley and County At-i At-i torney I. E. Brockbank. Close died i before the officers arrived. The young man had been attending attend-ing a dance at Santaquin earlier in the evening. He had been employed in the store of his brother Melvin D. Close at Ironton. Close was born at Spanish Fork, Dec. 24, 1904. He was the son of James J. and" Annie Dilkels Close. His parents survive him, as do on1 sister and five brothers: Miss Annie. An-nie. May Close and Wilford Close, Long Beach, California; George and Arthur Close, Spanish Fork; Ernest Close, Salt Lake, and M. D. Close, Springville. |
