Show NOTED CHURCH MAN IS DEAD SALT LAKE CITY, Dec, 10. Dr Seymour It. Young, senior president of the First Seven Presidents of Seventies, died at his home here Monday after several months illness. ill-ness. Ho was born in Kirtland, Ohift October 3, 1KM7, son of the late President Joseph Young and Jane I'.icknell. His father was the elder brother of President Brigham Young. Dr. Young has always taken an active part in civic affairs. He assisted as-sisted in early days in putting down many India n uprisings and served i iv the, Union army during the Civil war in the Lot Smith brigade. He was a member of the G. A. R. and the Btackhawk Indian war veterans vet-erans and at: the time of his death was a local officer of the former On April 14. .1X07, be married Elizabeth Ititer. by whom he had twelve children, ten of whom survive: sur-vive: Seymour R. Young, Jr., Mrs. M. D. Wells, Florence Pearl Young. Levi Edcar Young. Mrs. Willard Arnold, Mrs. Orson M. Rogers, Clifford Clif-ford E. Young. Mrs. J. T. Hammond, Jr., Elma Youmr. Josephine Young. Later he married Abide C. Wells, who with one child, Mrs. Nnnna ( 'lark, also survives.
