Show Qites Saturday Li Provo fcr fcrn:3r resident Funeral services for Mrs. Olive B. Thorn Darling, 82, a former resident of Springville, who died In Provo Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Memories, Memor-ies, Provo. Burial will be in the Springville city cemetery. Born in Springville August 21, 1879, she was a daughter of John and Emma Noakes Bryan. She had made her home at various times in Knights-ville, Knights-ville, Spring Canyon, Benja- min, Springville and Provo, where she had been active in LDS church work and as a practical nurse. She was married to R. Othell Thorn Nov. 20, 1901 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died in 1943 and in 1947 she was married to Walter Darling. Her husband and four sons and daughters survive: John B. Thorn of Springville; J. Elmo Thorn, American Fork; Mrs. Walter (LaVada) Harrison, Harri-son, Heber dity and Mrs. Elmo El-mo (Melba) Clark, Provo; also 24 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. May Bird and Mrs. Emma Em-ma Kennedy of Springville and Mrs. Arch (Beama) Combs of North Platte, Neb. A married son Wallace Thorn passed away last September. |
