Show Red Cross cited as drive begins As the Red Cross drive gets underway in Springville, A. L. Thorpe cited a letter received from headquarters, as an example ex-ample of the services accomplished accom-plished by that organization. The letter from the L. Dean Lee family of Springville stated that in Dec. 3, 1959, Mrs. Grace Gentry Lee, mother moth-er of Pfc. Larry E. Lee stationed sta-tioned with the army overseas, over-seas, passed away. The family notified the executive director of the Utah county organization organiza-tion who in turn sent a wire to the Red Cross field director at the serviceman's station confirming the death notice and giving time of services. Immediately word came that the serviceman had been granted grant-ed a leave and Pfc. Larry Lee arrived at Panaca, Nev. in time for his mother's funeral. |
