Show Services held Tuesday for Hazel G. Bin!:s Funeral services were held Monday in the Third-Ninth ward for Hazel Gale Binks, 67, wife of Royal R. Binks, who died Thursday of a cerebral cere-bral hemorrhage in the Utah Valley Hospital. Bishop Forrest For-rest Allred of the Ninth ward was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. She was born .Tan 54 1RQ3 at Heber, a daughter of Francis Fran-cis Albert and Janet Davis Gale. She received her education educa-tion in Heber and Mapleton. On Sept. 6, 1911, she married Royal R. Binks in Mapleton. Te marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Manti LDS Temple. Tem-ple. They made their home in Mapleton until 1955 when they moved to Springville. They resided re-sided at 62 So. 1st West. Mrs. Binks was active in the LDS Church having served as president of the Primary and as a visiting Relief Society teacher and officer of the MIA. She was an expert seamstress and for several years had served ser-ved as chairman of the quilting quilt-ing committee in the Springville Spring-ville 10th Ward. She had served ser-ved two stake missions. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Elwyn Binks of Pro-vo Pro-vo and Merrill Binks of Spanish Span-ish Fork; 12 grandchildren; one reat-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Florence Stone of Mapleton. Maple-ton. Officers sustained Hugh Hjorth succeeds Dr. Paul K. Edmonds as Superintendent Superin-tendent of Kolob Stake Sunday Sun-day School. Alvin Taylor was sustained First counselor and Roland Oldroyd Second counselor coun-selor with LaVar Felix as Stake Secretary. |
