Show Funeral Services Held Monday For Joseph Allan Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday in the Fourth-Tenth Fourth-Tenth ward chapel, for Joseph Allan, 74, former Fish and Game commissioner, who died Wednesday morning of last week at the Utah Valley hospital. hos-pital. Mr. Allan suffered a fractur-1 fractur-1 ed hip in a fall at his home a few days before and was taken to the hospital where he underwent major surgery. Bishop Grant Nielson of the Tenth ward, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under direction di-rection of Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Allan was bom June 26, 1885, in Springville, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Wat-kins Wat-kins Allan. He was educated in the Springville schools and attended BYU. He married Cornelia Brooks in the St. George LDS Temple Jan. 4, 1912. He was a member of the LDS church holding the office of Elder. Mr. Allan was employed by the Utah Fish and Game Department De-partment nine years and was superintendent of the Snake River Land Co. at Jackson Hole, Wyo., five years. Prior to his retirement he was employed em-ployed at Dugway Proving Grounds. His hobbies were fishing fish-ing and hunting.
