Show latvves Join In Observance of birthday 5 William Black, resident of this city for many years, was 85 years old on Sunday and to celebrate the occasion a number of near relatives from out-of-town called during the day, as did close friends and neighbors. neigh-bors. Mr. Black was born in Nephi, a son of William M. and Amy Jane Washburn Black, and spent his very early life in that city. A number num-ber of years ago he operated a flour mill in Springville and in 1921 sold the . mill and moved to Richfield. He stayed in that city until 1937, when he returned here. His first wife, Lucretia Maxwell, Max-well, whom he married February 15, 1878, died in 1926, and he later married Mrs. Florence Barron. His children are Maxwell Black of Springville, Emelia Gale of Salt Lake City, Lucretia Whipple of Arizona, Jane Stalworthy of New Mexico, Grant Black of Brigham City, and Eva Miller of Hyrum. |
