Show H. P. JENSEN IS HONORED ON HIS BIRTHDAY Hans Peter Jensen, for nearly 60 years a resident of Maple ton and Spanish Fork, was guest of h'Tn Thursday afternoon and veiling at birthday party ir. commemoration commemora-tion of his eighty-fifth anniversary. Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark June 20. 18-14. He came to Utah as a convert to t he L. D. S. church in 1871. He later filled two mis-j mis-j sions in his native land. Not only has lie taken an active part in rc-i rc-i iigious affairs, but he has also been a leader in community activities activi-ties of all kinds in Spanish Fork and Mapleton. j His wife died 3 years ago at the age of 83 years. They were t lie parents par-ents of eight children, six of whom are living and were present at the reunion as follows: Mrs. John .us-sell .us-sell of Springville. Joseph. Peter and Chris Jensen all of Maploton, , Mrs. Herman Twede of Spring lake, ! I and Allie Jensen of Springville. He I also has 49 grandchildren and 20 j great grandchildren. I A bounteous dinner was served j in the early evening on long tables centered with large baskets of flowers to all present. Later a pleasant time was spent with a program of games, music and visiting. |
