Show SPRINGVILLE'S BIRTHDAY TO BE OBSERVED The Daughters of Utah Pioneers of Springville are sponsoring a community program at 2 p. m. Monday in the relic room at the city hall, in commemoration of the eighty-third anniversary of the settlement of Springville. The program for the occasion is announced as follows: Community singing, led by Mrs. Blanch G. Hales; prayer, Chaplain Phoebe Singleton; silent tribute to Mrs. Ellen M. C. Wheeler and Mrs. Helia M. Groesbeck led by Captain Ella Reynolds; welcome address, by Mrs. Julia Packard, chairman of the relic hall; response, Mrs. J. M. Brown; vocai duet, Mrs. Hazel Latimer and Miss lone Tunckett; instrumental duet, Ralph Weight and Wi 11 Parry; one-act play, Margaret Mar-garet Bird; instrumental selection, Evelyn Larson; remarks, county board members; request organ number, Ralph Weight; benediction, benedic-tion, Mrs. Ellen K. Wheeler. Not only members of the D. U. P. camps are invited to attend, but an invitation is extended to 'the general public to join in commem-oiating commem-oiating the advent of the first settlers set-tlers in this communitmy. |
