Show Tire Burns This Week Under City Election Kettle The fire is slowly smoldering under un-der the Springville election kettle with little sparks shooting out now and then to give close listeners an indication that " something is brewing. At a meeting Tuesday evening of the Citizens Party, A. L. Thorpe was appointed temporary chairman chair-man to hold office until the nominating nomin-ating primary which is . to be held in the high school auditorium Wednesday, Wed-nesday, October 19. The time is set for 8 p.m. Purpose of the meeting meet-ing is to elect candidates for the Citizens Party ticket in the city election this coming November. All townspeople are invited. In the meantime, the Herald on their own with no party instructions instruc-tions whatsoever, is doing a little fact finding investigation, and this week is asking townspeople to write the name of the man in Springville whom they would like to be mayor. Also to write the names of the men they would like to see run for councilmen. You need not put your name on the blank (unless you want to run for office and either BRING, SEND or MAIL the blanks to the Herald office as soon as possible. We do not want to know who put whose name on he blank, but we would like some names. If you would like to be mayor of Springville, just get enough friends to fill in the blank with your name and even then we don't promise you the job. Seriously though, we would like the name of the men you want. The blank is to be found ,on page six. |
