The Legion auxiliary entertained entertain-ed at an enjoyable Mother's day program Wednesday -afternoon, at Memorial hall. Vice President Bell Sumsion was in charge, and welcomed the special guests to the entertainment. A beautiful tribute to the mothers by Mrs. Emma Gardner was responded to by Mrs. Louisa Wainwright. A violin duet was given by Mrs. Eileen Ei-leen Bird and Mrs. Minerva Jessee, who also gave music during the serving of lunch at the close of the program. Mrs. Blanch Beal gave an especially appropriate Mother's day story; Richard Goates, a cornet solo, Sara Marie Binks, a reading. The auxiliary chorus, under the direction of Guy Brown also entertained with two beautiful selections. Mrs. Julia Sumsion was accompanist. Blaine Thorpe, son of Mrs. H. G. Thorpe of this city returned recently from a mission in Canada. Mrs. Leona G. Clark of Cedar City, is spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Erma Gud-mundsen Gud-mundsen in this city. The daughters of Utah Pioneers, Camp Springville and Camp Aaron Aar-on Johnson, will meet conjointly at the City park on May 21, when a social and program will be given in honor of the pioneers of this community. Mell Harmer of this city is again greeting old friends after spending the winter months in California. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall of this city announce the marriage or their daughter, Merlyn to J. Walter Walt-er Prothero, son of J. W. Prothero of Provo, which took place Tuesday Tues-day in Salt Lake City. Immediately Immed-iately after the ceremony the couple left on a' wedding trip.
