According to the agreement the unty agrees to pay $49,000 while e federal road bureau through the ate rood commission will pay .411,000. Tlic money will not be available oia the federal road bureau until ily 1, 1925. All preliminary sur- vs for the road have been com-(t'tcd com-(t'tcd and it is expected that the ctwal construction work will com-"icnce com-"icnce shortly after the money is .vnilablc. I The new road will be constructed l the Spanish Fork canyon from liifiinond Fork, about three quarters ,( a mile east of Cnstella, to about wo miles east of Thistles. The 'wid, which will be about six and I linlf miles long, will eliminate the iTPsent' road from Castella to 'histle. In order to eliminate the ugwny near Thistle where several widen 1 8 have taken place, the new Hid will be constructed . on the orth side of Spanish Fork canyon. It will be a gravel road, but will "e bo constructed that it may be 6nIsinTnced later on without re-piiding re-piiding the subgrade. It is understood that the co-opera-vo agreement relative to the Provo inyon highway will also be com-Irted com-Irted this year. The road from ;ridl Veil falls to the Wasatch 3iinty line only is concerned in this gr cement. |
