Show BIDS RECEIVED ' ON BONDS AND EQUIPMENT - Jouncil Will Set Date of Bond Election at Next Week's Meeting At a meeting of the city council Wednesday evening tintative bids were receiviMi from a number of bonding companies, for the proposed pro-posed SN").IXK1 bond issue for the improving of the city water system. Among the proiMisals from the bonding bond-ing companies thnt of the Palmer Bond and Mortgage company met with the approval of the city officials, offi-cials, and will no doubt be accepted if the bond election carries, It is stated. Rids also were submitted for materials ma-terials and equipment for the water works including various sizes of pilM's. valves, hydrants, etc. While no bids can be let until the majority majori-ty of the citizens have expressed themselves as in favor of the improvement, im-provement, the city officials desire to know the approximate cost of the project. At the regular meeting next Wednesday Wed-nesday evening the council will no doubt set the date for the election, which has been suggested mav be July 10. |
