As per sgreement in my last I will give yoUr leaders an account of the remainder of my visit to the prettiest valley in ottr fail Territory (Utah valley, of course, excepted) for truly Cache is a lovely Valley when clothed in its summer attire. Surrounded with grassy hills, dotted here and there with neat little towns; and its broad fields bearing an abundant harvest, presents a pleasing to be never picture, forgotten. I did not ffemain long in Logan, as a Very dear friend obtained a horse and buggy and we tnrned our faces toward Hyrum. At we drove along tba dusty road we were carried back several years in our thought, our conversation ran back to the time when we first met and the succeeding circumstances that bound ua so firmly together iu friendships bonds; and the long separation fioin each other had sharpened Oul friendship till we were so overjoyed In each othera society. and carried away in such deep reverie that we scarcely notice the beauties of nature that surround us on every hand, at we pass through the fruitfull field where the contented farmers whistle merrily or break forth in happy song at they gather in the golden harvest ; and well may they be joy full for never before have they been blessed with id bountiful a harvest. A state of contentment and happiness reigns on every side that might well be enyied by a king.' Well our seven mile ride is drawing to a close, we are approaching Ilf rum, beautifull city situated partly on a whose inhabitants gives evidence of thrift and enterprise; for neat and com fortable dwellings appear in all parts of town while many others are springing into existence. Hyrum has several nice school houses and a large comfoi fable rock meeting house all of which have coat considerable Htyncy, and jet they have now under errection a beautiful church school , houpe which la being errected ol atone and which they iuteud soon to hae ready for use. We only remained lopg enough in Hyrum to ea( our supper when we. drove on toward the next settlement. The sun having now neared the western horlxon Yt the valley, casts Its flickering rT to fields and kiss its good plght give hills then ainkl behind tho mountain leaving th& busy rustling inhabitant! of the y alley preparing lot repose nd. rest Aa we rods through these verdant, fields, I could not help, thinking how etrange this world it becoming, tliia.triorning as the sun arose I era being carried through the fields of Bpainish Fork while now is the sun ii setting I etn 173 milee away fields and conbeing horn through pther whom I had not friend a with versing . teen for months.
