What might have been a disastrous fire was averted Thursday evening by the prompt action of the Spanish Fork Fire Department, di- rected by Chief C. W. Booth, when a small wheat stack and garage caught fire at the home of John A. Lewis. A tne gallon can of oil in the garage made the blaze somewhat spectacular. The fire department responded to the call and soon had the blaze under control. They managed to save the chicken coops of Mr. LewiB who is in the poultry business. All other outbuildings and the hay stacks belonging to David James, who lives adjacent to Mr. Lewis, were also saved. Mr. James had recently comn stack of hay pleted about a few feet from the garage which was destroyed. The property loss was not more than $100. A small boy and matches is believed to be the cause of the blaze. 30-to- in The Foreign Legion A powerful romantic and emotional drama of love and passion at a desert out-pos- t! Several months ago a male bear was killed by Levanger. Saturday the mother bear and then the young bear were caught in traps. He was not badly hurt and Levanger hopes to domesticate him.
