The program was started when the State Press Association was called to order by President Parley P, Jensen, and about 30 members responded to roll call. Mayor C. F. Farrer then spoke in behalf of Presi dent Evans of the Commercial Club, and likewise welcomed the boys to partake of the hospitalities of Provo. After showing the visitors over town, a trip was made up Provo Canyon ' and the best trout dinner that many of them ever tasted was served at Heiselt's place. At night an informal banquet was given at the Commercial Club, after which the following resolutions were ' passed. "The thanks and gratitude of the members of the Utah Press Association assembled at Provo, June 7, 1909, for the elaborate entertainment furnished by the citizens of Provo, are herewith accorded. Especially do we most earnestly tender thanks to the prime movers in the affair, D. J. Larsen of the Provo Herald, Heber Hicks of , the Enquirer, W. H. Ray of the Provo Bench Lands, Wm. M. Roylance of the Utah county fruit and produce interests, Joseph Farrer of the Provo financial interests, and that noble son of Scandanavia, Hans Heiselt, who furnished such an elaborate feast.
