FROM SOUTH AFRICA New Way of Using Chamberlain's Juv-inil- the heading, Some of Our Poets," the perusal of which afforded me genuine pleasure, inasmuch as it gives a gpnuine synopsis of the life of Sister Jlannuh Cornaby, with whose life and labor I have been quite familiar since the year 1S50; and 1 thought that I would like to add my testimony as to her worth. Her life lias been as an open book, and shows that she has always been a lover of her fellow creatures and consequently a lover of God, a sincere belieyer and lover of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a true sympathizer with the distressed, a comforter to those who mouru; trying always to strengthen the weak and encourage the 6trong, charity to the erring, and lauding the true and faithful; a lover of all that is beautiful in nature, and her heart and lips always giving praise and thanksgiving to the great Creator of the Many Heayeus and the Earth. times during her life lias she felt distress, but never despair. Whenever trouble arose, or the clouds of persecution looked dark and frowning, she was always On the Lords Side. Having faith in mankind, but her greatest virtue is her sublime faith and trust in God and in the Gospel of Tesus Christ, revealed through the Prophet Joseph Smith, as is so beautifully exemplified in the closing poem of the article in the Juvinile Instructor of November 15, 1903.
