IAIVEiiTIKKUF.VTl Permits have been issued for tho grazing of 24. 89 head of cattle and horses and 174.670 head of sheep on the Uinta National Forest for the season of 1930, according to Forest Supervisor Chas. DeMolsey Jr. The cattle and horses are owned by 921 individuals and the sheep by 343 owners, all of whom reside or have ranch property adjacent to the Forest or in the surrounding valleys. The demand for these grazing privileges is more than the conservative graziug capacity of the forest ranges and some qualified applicants cannot be granted permits because most parts of th(i forest are already fully stocked by established users, Mr. 1 says. The fees charged for the grazing of livestock vary in accordance with the length of the established seasons in different parts. The rate for the 5 months season for cattle this year i3 94& cents per head; for horses, $1.18, and for sheep for a season of 3 months 15 cents per head.
