The high wind all afternoon and the disagreeable weather prevented any good performances on the part of the athletes. Max Thomas and Preston Creer were high point winners with 15 each. Emil Anderson was third with 13. Owen Rowe, star performer of the high school, did not participate in any events except the high jump and relay. The summary: 100 yard dash Williams (J), M. Woodruff, executive secretary of the club. Mr. Woodruff has renewed his agreement with the club directors and will continue to handle the club's affairs for the present touring season under the supervision of the board of directrs. The directors named from all sections of the state will determine the club policies, administering Its affairs so as to give all sections a voice in the routing of travel. Mr. Woodruff will attempt to carry those policies Into force. The outlook for the tourist crop this year is unusually bright for the various sections of Utah bidding for a share of the travel, Mr. Woodruff declared. Judging by the many inquiries received at the clubs offices this state, and its scenic attractions are making a strong bid for a share of the tourist wealth which annually treks across the Continental divide from populous eastern centers. The traffic is still tending toward the northwest, but where it has been diverted around the state heretofore scenic southland Is apparently exerting a magnetic attraction to lure the tourist south into this state. Many inquiries have been received at the club headquarters asking for touring data in Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyn, Zion National Park, the b Forest and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Fortunately the roads and accomodations into the land have been now improved park to a stage where the club is ablo honestly to report favorably on con- dittonB.
