A stirring patriotic address was delivered by K. A. Mitchell of Provo, who pic-- ! tured the conditions in the war- - rid-- 1 den countries of Europe, especially Russia and urged that the people of Spanish Fork to be loyal to the cause that our country has espoused, V nl-- 1 ter Adams of Provo, also gave an address. Mrs. Grneo Matley, who has served for some time as chairman of the local chapter of the Red Cross, gave an Interesting report of the work done by the local chapter. She stated that in the last six months more than 1,000 hospital garments have been made and shipped, (500 knitted articles and four large boxes of surgical dressings have also been shipped. At the last official meeting there was in the treasury $1,999.14, and there has been expended for supplies, etc., $1,741.21, leaving a balance In the treasury of $243.35. Clayson of American Fork, Henry Gardner of Spanish Fork and Bishop John Youd. All the speakers spoke highly of the splendid life and character of the deceased. During the services special musical numbers were rendered as follows: A quartet by the Francis brothers and Arthur Huff entitled, The Teachers Work Is Done and a solo and chorus by Gunner Rasmussen and company, O Grave Where Is Thy Victory. A duet was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Gunner Rasmussen entitled, There Is Hope Beyod the Grave." The choir sang in closing Abide With Me, after which the benediction was pronounced by Nathan Clayson.
