Show MANY HURT IN TORNADO Furnas County Nebraska In the Path of a Twister Oxford NebA tornado did much damage In Furnas county at G oclock Monday evening Telegraph and telephone tele-phone wires are prostrated In the territory ter-ritory covered by the storm and only meagro reports have been obtained hut It Is known that several residences were wrecked and a number of persons per-sons injured although no fatalities have been reported The storm came from the southwest and so far as known the first house Struck was that of John Reynolds about live miles west of Oxford This was destroyed but the Inmates escaped es-caped serious injury The houses of Fred Hartman and Fred Drew were next demolished Here the people were not so fortunate nearly all bo Ing more or less hurt and one at least received Injuries from which recovery re-covery Is doubtful Tho residences of Fred Toos and T J Cook wero wrecked as were the school houses in the Buffalo and Morning View districts dis-tricts besides scores of barns and other farm buildings The storm passed to the northeast |
