Early on Friday, Feb. 26,2010,1 received a phone call from a cousin stating that her mother (and my aunt), Ila Bowen Brooks, had passed away the night before. About a half an hour later, my cousin called again, stating that her father (and my uncle), Ray Brooks, had died that morning. It was one of those sad and joyous occasions that happen rarely. My aunt had been born to D. Foster and Hannah Elizabeth Davis Bowen in the southeast part of Benjamin but had grown up in Spanish Fork. My uncle was born to Henry and Bertha Brooks of Lake Shore and both had attended Spanish Fork High School.
