Show Cbe Sentinel Diamondbacks Brockbank B2 • WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2010 Guardian of Your Community News sweep playoffs Brandon Wood and Kale Smith DFJH Through many grueling match-ups with tough opponents, the Diamond Fork Junior High boy's and girl's basketball teams dominated the competition, and they now hold the district championship titles. Rarely do both the boy's and girl's teams from the same school win the district title. Every player and fan contributed to this amazing accomplishment. Even with numerous injuries during the course of the season, the teams pulled together and helped each other out. Overcoming obstacles, playing hard and loving the game combined to result in an amazing season. Congratulations, Diamondbacks! Help For Haiti Diamond Fork Junior High's Character Education Student Council worked hard making, selling and delivering 1,200 valentines to the students and staff of DFJHS. For 50 cents a valentine, the Character Education students personally delivered a valentine with candy to anyone at the school. All $600 raised by their efforts was donated to the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti. BE MY VALENTINE: Brockbank students showed their creativity and artistic talents by creating Valentine boxes. There were some creative boxes and it was fun to see all the different ways students use their imagination.
