That ever-elusive win remains elusive, but the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles football team looked better than ever in their 28-19 loss to Manti last week. It was easily the closest game the Golden Eagles have played, and it was the first time the team has posted double digits in scoring. "I think we took a step tonight in the right direction, and hopefully we can keep doing that," said Coach Brad Burtenshaw. The Golden Eagles were especially impressive on kick returns, making it across the midfield line twice, including one 80-yard return for a touchdown.
