It was a fun and creative way to help 85 students discover activities that they can do in the summer. They listened to campfire stories while eating toasted marshmallows, played t-ball games, ate watermelon and counted their seeds, had a picnic, and even did a little fishing. DANCING THROUGH LIFE: Students in Mrs. Lew's and Miss Sechrist's kindergarten classes enjoy interpretive dancing. Nolan Goodwin from the Nebo School District Elementary Fine Arts Team came and taught students how to express their feelings and emotions through movement and rhythm. It was enjoyed by all! Not pictured, Tarah Sherrod. Drama Club council elected at DFJH Red Ribbon Week Diamond Fork Jr. High is preparing to participate in Red Ribbon Week, Monday Oct. 6-10. To celebrate Red Ribbon Week", each day is themed to remind students to "Say "No" to Drugs." Throughout the week students will attend an assembly, have crazy hair, mis-matched clothes, wear red and wear clothing related to favorite sports teams. Each day the most spirited students will win prizes. We will end the week with a Red Luxurious Townhomes in Salem starting at $184,900 Ribbon Week dance and a school activity day. We look forward to a successful week! and receive individual and group instruction on their performances. Good luck, Shakespeare team! Shakespeare Team Students at Diamond Fork Jr. High will be attending Shakespeare Competition in Cedar City, Oct. 5-6. Students have been preparing monologues, scenes and an ensemble dance performance to compete against a number of schools. Our 35 students will also have the opportunity to attend workshops Drama Club Students at Diamond Fork Jr. recently elected their Drama Club Council for this year. On election day, students had to perform a skit and were voted on by Drama Club members. The council plans monthly meetings and conduct and carry out all activities at those meetings.
