EAGLES: After two tough road losses to Provo and Delta, ALA's girls soccer team returned home to take on Layton Christian Academy to begin region play, Thursday, Aug. 28. The battle of the Eagles was over in the first half as ALA scored two goals to LCA's one. SF tennis takes on Timpanogos Spanish Fork's tennis team beat Pleasant Grove as a team 3-2 on Tuesday, Aug. 26,2008 and lost to Timpanogos 4-1 on Thursday, Aug. 28. The highlight was Alexandra Argyle beating one of the top players in the state in Rachel Clarke from Timpanogos, 6-2, 6-4. This was a huge upset. Argyle is now 2-0 in the region. She was planning to play third singles this year, but when the Reid twins quit this season that put her unexpectedly at first singles. She has not disappointed yet.
