Show ]jfestyles . Coveting what matters most A4 • WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008 Weddings Obituary Edna Peterson Nelson Edna Peterson Nelson, 90, peacefully passed from this life on Aug. 25,2008. She was bom Nov. 19, 1917, in Lehi, to Thomas Leonard and Lileth Gilchrist Peterson. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1936 and attended BYU from 1937 through 1938. She married her eternal sweetheart, Ervin C. Nelson, on May 4, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three sons and a daughter. Edna was a loving mother whose life was devoted to serving her family. Many happy memories were made in her home through her efforts. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and being with her family. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Edna served in many leadership and service positions, including Relief Society President and President of the Young Women. Together she and Ervin served a mission to Cardston Canada Temple from Aug., 1977 until Feb., 1979. They found much joy in their service there. Edna is survived by i her children, Jean Nelson Crisp, (Morris), of Salem; Dale E Nelson, (Jackie), Enterprise; Reed LNelson, (Sally), Salem; and Boyd C Nelson, (Linda), Mesa, AZ. She is also-survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildjen, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ervin Nelson, brothers, Arnold and Lee Peterson and her sisters Lileth Peck. Janet Lee and Phyllis Nielsen. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 30. Interment was in the Salem City Cemetery. A garden reception will honor the couple that evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Daley home, 317 South 1400 Easl, Spanish Fork. In case of inclement weather, the reception'will be held at the Salem Community Cen- ter, 151 West 300 South, Salem. Danielle's grandparents are Jay and Berniece Drage and Linda and the late Bob Daley. Mike's grandparents are Charles and Margaret Christensen and Elmer and Joan Klug. The couple will make their first home in Spanish Fork. Please accept this as an invitation to join us that night in our celebration. Atkinson, Swenson Bret and Christy Atkinson are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Mindy Sue, to Colby John Swenson, son of Curtis and JoDee Swenson, on Sept. 12,2008 in the Manti LDS Temple. An open house will be held in their honor Friday, Sept. 5 at the Clark Swenson residence, 1185 South 850 East, Span- ish Fork, from 5:30-8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the open house will be held at the Spanish Fork South Stake Center, 1150 East 1240 South, Spanish Fork. There are many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in the Marshall Islands Who are in need of a white shirt and tie to wear to their church meetings. Any and all siz- es are needed. Items can be dropped off at Dayne's home, 2067 East 1630 South, Spanish Fork, at the Spanish Fork City Office, or at any church building located in the Canyon Ridge Stake (in the Relief Society rooms).
