Show SPANISH FORK Covering what matters most B4 • WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2009 R^ru n Balloon stomp madness Crystel Dupin LHS •As part of Spirit week at.Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork, LHS students competed in the annual balloon stomp which was held on Jan. 27,2009. Each advisory class picked four students to represent their class in the competition. The rules were very simple, if someone popped your balloon or your balloon fell off the string, you would be out of the game. Each student received one balloon that was tied to their ankle, and the goal was to be the last person with your balloon still attached. The winning advisory class would receive a pizza party for lunch. Dragon snow sculptures Raquel Sorenson LHS In an effort to help build school unity, the students of Landmark High School in Spanish Fork participated in their annual snow sculpturing contest part of LHS Spirit Week. Each advisory class was given time to use their imaginations to come up with the best dragon snow sculpture. Each class brought different tools to prepare their sculptures — from shovels, buckets, picks and hoes, to spray bottles and food coloring. Each class was given about an hour or so to finish their masterpiece. Each drag- DRAGON MASTERS: Left Students Showing off their finished dragon snow sculpture. Honorable Mentions went to Patricks Hogle's 2nd Period Class, Brian Davenport's 2nd Period Classes and SueAnn Hardings 2nd Period Class. on was unique in its own way. One class made their dragon look as if it was swimming in and out of the ground. Others used other tools like a soda bottle to make realistic scales. One even had a tongue ring! We give our props to classes who had no tools and still made fabulous dragons with their bare hands. After our hard work we were rewarded donuts and steaming hot chocolate to bring our great Spirit Week to an end. The winners are as followed: 1st Place Advisory, Alesha LeMmon; 2nd Place Advisory, Patrick Hoogle; 3rd Place Advisory, Brian Davenport; and Best Team Effory by SueAnn's Advisory. Teachers in the back ground are Sterling Ludlow, and Harlow John. Crazy hair with shaving cream Crystel Dupin LHS As Spirit Week Continued along at Landmark High School in Spanish Fork. The students of LHS participated in the fourth annual Crazy Hair day. The task of crazy hair day was to create the craziest hairdoo using only shaving cream and their own imagination. There were many crazy deigns like Robbie Pherson who had a Mohawk and two spikes to the side. Scott Carson's hair was piled with shaving cream and was given a uni-brow and a beard. Micheal Haws' hair was styled with three long spikes one on top and two on the sides. There were many more styles, Dave "Mr. Clean" Clark won with an Elvis Presley look designed by Chealsey Chlarson.
