Show ^N A6 • WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2007 ^W S Spanish Fork Loving life as the Grinch The Grinch is one of Joe Broderick's favorite Seuss books and he is having fun bringing this character to life on the stage as part of Spanish Fork Community Theater's Seussical, the Musical The production opens Wednesday, July 18 at Spanish Fork High School. Shows run July 18-21 and 23, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. and July 24 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Boothe Brother's Music and Artistic Floral. An immediate family ticket is one sale for $35 and Adults are $8, with children under 12 and seniors $6. Broderick has been performing and a member of the Spanish Fork Community Theater board since 1993. He thinks about retiring from the theater board but then grins because he is still having just too much fun. He has done many jobs during the term of service. He has been an orchestra member, has helped construct sets and has served as treasurer for several years. Broderick joins other local performers and their families on the stage this summer to breathe life and creativity into a musical that includes many of the works of Dr. Seuss. The Grinch will be joined by the Cat in the Hat, Horton the elephant, Mayzie LaBird and Gertrude, Covering what matters most Meet the directors Meg Grierson ~ Artistic Director Meg Sherman Grierson (Crowley, Texas) graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre Direction from Brigham Young University, and received additional collegiate training in script writing, acting and stage management. As a certified secondary teacher, she taught theater at Orem High School, assisted Anna Murdock with the Spanish Fork Youtheatre, and has also appeared as a guest acting instructor in arts workshops fof both children Meg Grierson and adults. Venna Ferguson ~ Choreographer It's a lot like fine art ... only cheaper N E W S Spanish Fork Venna Ferguson Adam Cannon ~ Technical Director Adam Cannon has been involved in theater since his high school days, appearing in many community and Brigham Young University productions. Some of his most memorable roles are the mute king in Once upon a Mattress, the voice of a walrus in Carnival, and a production of LiVAbner in which he played the town mayor, a US Army general, and radio announcers from three different countries. Art City Playhouse patrons will remember him as Mr. Potter in A Wonderful Life and as the director of Arsenic and Old Lace.
