TALL TALES: Students at Spanish Oaks Elementary were excited to have a special visit from Willy Claflin. He is one of the favorite storytellers who was part of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival held in Orem this month. He shared some of his favorite stories and songs with the help of his friends, Moose and Frog. Thanks to the Friends of the Orem Public Library and Mrs. Jurkatis for arranging this assembly so that our students could experience the fun art of storytelling. Pictured are Willy Claflin and Mrs. Jurkatis' 2nd grade Class. Explorer Dollars are a hit BIG WINNER: Spanish Oaks Elementary students are excited about the new Explorer Dollars they can earn by being responsible at school. They can receive the dollars at any time when a faculty member or staff member notices them following the school rules or using the social skills of: accepting responsibility, listening or showing kindness. When a student has earned ten Explorer' Dollars they can trade them for a Super Student Token. Our first student to earn his Super Student Token was Chris Wylie. Thanks Chris for being a responsible student at Spanish Oaks. r> So 15; John Bingham Paul Clark Ivan Clarke Mike Gardner Karl Hales Justin Nelson Brandon Nelson Lori Thomas Doug Snell Spanish Oaks students take reading challenge "••• READING PAYS OFF: The students at Spanish Oaks Elementary were challenged by their principal, Mrs. RaShel Tingey to keep reading during the summer. Congratulations go to Cheyenne Randquist for winning the drawing and to all those students who met their reading goal.
