Also on hand were Spanish Fork/ Salem Area Chamber of Commerce board members, Chamber Director Cary Hanks, and members of the Salem Police Department. Water Expo FOCUS ON THE FUTURE: Harward Irrigation Systems, Inc. hosted the 2010 Irrigation Conference and Expo Feb. 18. Now in its 18th year, the expo included 70 manufacturers and over 400 participants. Hailed as one of the top irrigation shows in the mountain west, there were also 35 classes held throughout the day which helped professionals qualify for state recertification. The expo focused on irrigation, landscaping and agricultural products. Owner Randall Harward said he felt really good about the turnout and was excited about some of the innovative products featured, including LED holiday lighting as used on Temple Square and selfmonitoring sprinkler systems that adjust watering automatically to match current weather conditions. Nanwn Bills / Hie Sentinel SF Fire Department The Chamber of Commerce will be holding business website design seminars for all interested members of the Chamber. These seminars will be held during the last week of February and in March. The seminars will be geared to teaching members more about the websites that the Chamber purchased for them through Chamber Nation, a chamber of commerce management system. It will include setup of the website, design ideas, setup of domains and ways of using the website for advertising, marketing and networking their businesses. This program is fully supported with technical support and online video instructions. The chamber board is excited about this member benefit and would like to see all members take advantage of this prepaid opportunity. Dates and times for these seminars will be available on the chamber website at www.spanishforkchamber.com or call the chamber office at 801-798-8352. The Rotary Club of Spanish Fork and the Spanish Fork/Salem Area Chamber of Commerce have partnered with the Nebo Foundation to raise money for college scholarships for students who might not qualify for other scholarship programs. Thanks to all those who participated in the Rotary/Chamber Scholarship Fund Silent Auction, Thursday, Feb. 18. Thanks again to all of our sponsors and those who donated items for the auction. It was a successful night of brisk bidding and we appreciate all of those who attended and help us raise money for this worthy cause. Check the Chamber website for winning bids. Information will be available soon on the Rotary/ Chamber Golf Tournament to be held Thursday, April 29. The Spanish Fork Chamber of Commerce is having their Super Saver Card Fundraiser in March. Super Saver Cards are a great way of saving money while shopping locally. The Super Saver Cards will be on sale at many local businesses. The Venture Crew 1532 Scouts, School Clubs, and Chamber Members will have these cards for sale to the public. The van is currently being outfitted and will be used as a support vehicle for fire calls. It will also be equipped for Hazmat and can respond to traffic accidents.
