By people you know The students at Diamond Fork Jr. High have been working hard this winter preparing for their upcoming play "Mulan Jr." This play is based on the Disney movie "Mulan," and has many of the same great characters. The play will be performed March 1114 at 7 p.m. in the DFJH cafetorium. Tickets are $5 per person. The play is directed by Kara Poulsen, but she is quick to point out that the students are the real force behind the play. 'This is a completely .student-run show," said Poulsen. The most visible display of the students' efforts is in the actors themselves, but don't forget about all those behind the scene students who are creating the sets, taking care of the props, doing the makeup and all the technical aspects of the lights and sound. With around 150 cast and crew members between the ages of 1315, Mrs. Poulsen and the students are very grateful for the help they get from some of their other teachers: Mrs. Maria Lewis, Music Director; Ms. Cecily Yeager, Assistant Director; and Ms. Jayme Stone, Choreographer. For many students the schools musical has become the highlight of their year, and something that they look forward to all year round. The cast and crew invite everyone to spend an evening with them as they showcase their talents performing "Mulan Jr." SPANISH FORK Locally owned and operated |
