Show Audience will be the jury in 'Night of January 16th' SUU theatre arts and dance pre e nts the Maiostage II prod uction of Ayn Rand's Night ofJanuary 16th. et in a courtroom, the audience become jury to a murder trial . ln the end, it i the audience that will determine the outcome . With three different ending co the play, thi · is truly a how that will never he the same twice. The play will run Jan. 28·30 and Feb . ;.6. The play begins in the current day period, where the audience i a part of a realistic courtroom proceeding. Hear ye , Hear ye, The Honorable Judge Healh, played by race Wrighl, i~ presiding. Di trice Attorney Flint, played by Melinda Pfundstcin, is on the scene to h w that it was in fact Karen Andr , Faulkner' ex-mistres a well as execretary, played by Jamie Wagner, that threw Mr. Faulkner co hi death. Cases on both sides are very convin cing and the evidence weigh heavy on both side . What really happened? Who is right? The audience will make the final decision. Directed by Brian Gibhons, a senior theatre arts major, Night ofJanuary 16th is skillfully crafted to fulfill all expectations of thi · courtroom murder my tery. Brian 's talent as a director is evident in the fruit of his lahor. Along wilh Brian, ight of January 16th sec the return of many veternn of tbe university stage as well a the debut of many young actors who are de tined to be the names and faces of tomorrow 's U stage . ight ofJanuary 16th is an entertaining production in true Perry Mason ty1e that is guaranteed ro keep the audience alert and riveted to their seats. The qual ity of performance is pecracular and the reality of the prod uction makes the audien e feel that they are in a real courtroom trial. The play begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Auditorium. The cost is $6 for general admi ion, $5 for children and $2 for tudents.
