During SUU's summer school, out-of-state tuition charges are waived. Non-Utah residents attend for the same costs as residents of the state of Utah. "The lower tuition costs for non-Utah residents is just one of several factors that make summer school at SUU very appealing, 11 Nym an said. "Others include the availability of cultural and recreational activities in t he area, such as the Utah Shakespearean Festival. T he area has wonderful scenery and a great summer cl imate. The progra ms are appealing which has led to a steadily growing enrollment in recent years." N yman poin ts out that summer school credit can help people accelerate their progress toward a degree, allow them to work toward a graduate degree, or get a head start on their coll ege education. Individuals 62-yea rs old or older are being offered an opportunity to audit any summer SUU credit class for $10 for the quarter, on a space available basis. Registration will be perm itted on the first day of class at the beginning of each session. Special workshop or non-cretlit classes are not incluqed in this senior citizens offer. Special programs scheduled this summer at SUU will include-among others- workshops in creative writing, storytelling, art education, and William Shakespeare; a reading conference; Utah Girls State; Upward Bound; the Governor's Honors Academy; several sports camps; a spirit camp; a Sunday evening concert series; the Utah Summer Games; and a field school in Southwestern archeology.
