SUSC Native American Week begins Indians in Vocational and Higher Education, Student Center Small Ballroom, 10 a.m. Challenges faced by the Navajo Higher Education Program Today, Student Center Conference Room, 3 p.m. Indian Taco Dinner, SUSC Great Hall, 6 p.m. Coming up Agriculture day slated Vocational Agriculture Day has been scheduled for April 16. Students from high schools in Southern Utah will participate in activities that day, including livestock and soil judging. Various agricultural displays, which will seek to emphasis the importance of agriculture to American society and the world as a whole, will be located around the SUSC campus as well. Garden seminar set A seminar on gardening has been scheduled for Science Center room 121 Wednesday at 5 p.m. by instructor Frank Williams. Williams, who has a nationally televised gardening show aired each year over KSL, teaches horticulture at Brigham Young University. Refreshments will be served. Alumni reception slated A reception for SUSC alumni living in the Las Vegas area will be held April 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sams Town Goldfield Room. SUSC alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend the reception, to enjoy light refreshments and a short program, said Alumni Association President Mildred Cardon. Scheduled to start at 8 p.m., the program will include selections by the SUSC vocal jazz group Primo Plus, and a slide presentation showing highlights of SUSCs past and present. SUSC President Gerald R. Sherratt will be among the alumni and faculty attending the recption. Dr. John Stephenson is chairing the Las Vegas Reception Committee. He said RSVPs are in order.
