Co) (o) Coming up Deadline extended The deadline for submitting prose, poetry and art work to the SUSC literary magazine, Tailwind, has been extended until Friday at 4:30 p.m. Submissions, which should be typed and include the authors name and telephone number, may be left in the office of the English department secretary, on the third floor of Old Administration Building. According to. Nani Lii Staheli, editor of Tailwind, this deadline is final and will not be extended again. All members of the campus community, including students, faculty members, staff and administrators are invited to submit work to the magazine. Submissions may include all forms of poetry, as well as short prose pieces! vignettes and short stories. Art and photography submissions will also be considered. Observatory open April visitors to the Southern Utah State College Ashcroft Observatory will about the universe then check out various deep sky objects through the observatory telescope. Programming is offered free to the public each Monday evening. Shows start at 8 p.m. through April 22, then will start at 9 p.m. after daylight-savin- g time goes into effect at 2 a.m. April 28. The commercially prepared slide-tap- e presentation The Story of Our Universe will last about 15 minutes, notes Observatory Director Brent Sorensen. Observatory visitors who are urged to dress warmly will then move up into the domed area where the telescope is housed. see a brief slide presentation 14-in- Business workshop set Market Research is a must if the small business is to survive in todays business environment, says the instructor for an evening workshop scheduled to be held Tuesday at SUSC. Sponsored by the SUSC Utah Business Development Center and the Small Business Administration, the workshop will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 106 of the Dixie Leavitt Business Building. Registration is $6 and can be paid at the door. SUSC UBDC Director Harry Swanson is the workshop instructor. |
