Rob, a junior wide receiver from Heber City, caught a touchdown pass this week to the win. Tori is from Cedar City and is just one of the up and coming players on the volleyball team. Congratulations Tori! More than 10 teams, each consisting of two men and one woman, participated in the opening week tourney. Two teams earned first place honors in the two-da- y event. Brian Goettlitch paired with husband and wife Eric and Barb Greenhalgh for one of the championship teams, while Amy Wright, Scott Clark and Scott Christensen combined for the other. Tom Kingsford, director of intramurals, said he was pleased with the way students supported the activity. Th,ere was a good turnout and we had some very competitive teams. Kingsford also said he is hoping that more people will start participating in the intramural events, even if they are without a team. We need to get people aware of this building and the program that is going on here, Kingsford said. Everyone can come down here and have a lot of fun. Even if a player isnt on a team we will find a team for him. I think this has done a lot of good for everybody, a victorious Eric Greenhalgh said. We had a great time, his wife added. Intramurals continue this week with the opening of flag football. |
