T raditionally, the two sororities and two fraternities making up the council announce the representatives of their respective groups who will serve as the IGC executive council from January to January. Derrick Van Ness of Sigma Chi Fraternity was selected to serve the next term as IGC president, taking the reins from Chi Sigma Upsilon's Carrie Nonon. Norton had been president of the council, which represents more than 200 traditional students on campus, for only the fuH quarter after Ben Baldwin's departure following his dection as consul of Sigma Chi. Other representatives chosen were Chi Sigma Upsilon's Monica Talbot, fmancial vice president; Brandon Bevan of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Rush Chair; and Kristin Jensen of Phi Alpha Beta Sorority was voted as Secretary for the council. The event was emceed by Paul Bitteman and Clark Barnett of Sigma Nu and Sigma Chi, respectively. The greeb were entertained with two solos from women representing the two sororities. The singing of Kim Schiemer, Phi Alpha Beta, and Abigail Cobb, C hi Sigma Upsilon, d ivided the din ner between the various other awards. The Organization of the Year award went to Phi Alpha Beta Sorority. Male and Female Contributor awards were given to Baldwin and Norton, respectively, and Highest G PA (Female and Male) hono rs were awarded to Heidi Heywood of Phi Alpha Beta and Dave Blanchard of Sigma C hi. The organization with the highest overall G PA was Chi Sigma Upsilon. Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards went to Bitteman and Schiemer. The Philanthropic Project of the Year award was given to Sigma Nu Fraternity for its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Adviser of the Year hono rs were awarded to Michael Donovan, adviser to Sigma C hi Fraternity, and the Non-Greek Contributor award was presented to John Angeli, director of student activities and adviser to JGC. 840 S.
